The Electric Curtain

Testing a theory of magical sharing morphic resonance...

I promise to explain the strange title of this email, but first, let me say that I’ve been longing to show up and connect with this community regularly, and this newsletter is the first of the weekly emails I plan to send. 

You might already know that 2022 was a whirlwind year for me, end-capped by a book launch and Rachel and I’s wedding, but there were lots of magical moments and synchronistic adventures in between.

Some of the most meaningful were finding Petunia, the injured butterfly that helped me find a new office space, and exploring thin places throughout the UK. That’s the stuff I’ve been longing to share with you. The in-between magic I notice.

I believe that the more magic we notice and share, the more magic the next person will see and share, and it becomes a kind of magical sharing morphic resonance.

Magic can be difficult to explain, and I recently hired a copy editor to help me find the words for the upcoming projects and events I’m planning. During our first meeting, she asked me to explain what I do, and I began with one of my usual phrases, “I connect people to their loved ones that have passed to the Spirit World,” but that didn’t satisfy the question. “What does it feel like,” she asked, and “why do you do it?”

Recognizing that this answer was not neatly stored away in my brain, I tried to answer from my heart: “You know how most people sense a veil between this world and the unseen world? Well, in mediumship or soul communication, when this veil is lifted, I experience connection through this fabric that connects us all.”

“It's like an electric curtain through which we can dive into the knowledge our soul already has and bring it to life with clarity. It’s where we can experience a reunion with anyone you’ve loved that’s passed to the other world, and they have the chance to speak with you directly. It’s magic but also systematic and subtle. The other world is like an electric curtain humming in the background allowing our world to exist.”

This is the answer we both needed to hear, and I had the title for this newsletter!

So, I would like to welcome you to the Electric Curtain newsletter, where I’ll be showing up weekly in your inbox to share about mediumship, intuitive arts, signs, and synchronicities. I’ll also share more in-depth tarot spreads, astrology affirmations, and journal prompts. I want to bring the idea of the electric curtain to life for this community and share more personal stories than are possible on social media.

Because none of us are alone—we are always guided.

Because everything we experience is witnessed, held, and honored by the unseen world, and as we touch its fabric, we become willing participants in synchronicity, wonder, and awe. 

I hope connecting in this space can feel more conversational and inspiring and further test my theory of magical morphic resonance.
