Oh Sheryl! You're speaking to my soul. It truly is suchhh a struggle. AND I don't want to do what I was doing before. I also think about how few choices my parents and their ancestors had - how they literally tried to survive and didn't have the luxury of "life purpose". It's truly so fascinating. That doesn't mean it isn't hard to keep striving cuz it is! But perspective is a gift.

Oh thank you for this comment Nisha. The whole "life purpose" thing is such a mind bender. And the ancestors, yes! I think about my great grandmother reading tea leaves in secret, truly what a time to be alive and also WHAT A TIME 😮‍💨

It seems all mystics are moving through similar themes now. I wrote about something similar last week. Sending you lots of love my friend. No matter what, your worth isn’t tied to your output - your very essence and presence on this earth is enough ♥️

Inspiring thoughts, Sheryl. It takes a lot of guts to shift focus from societal expectations of us to expectations of ourselves. It is not an easy task, considering how societal approval played such a big role in our lives as we grew up.

So, without falling prey to pressure, without losing empathy for yourself and others, is very impressive. I am very proud of you. For a while now, you have shown us what self-care looks like in different contexts. Thank you.
